My parents, who immigrated to the United States from Nigeria, dream of a better future for me and my siblings. To make this dream come true, they sacrificed the luxuries of life so that my siblings and I could attend a parochial school. For this reason, I have always done my best to take advantage of every opportunity that came my way, especially by excelling academically. This goal of maintaining my academic excellence is why I am determined to work diligently in UAB's College of Arts and Sciences and beyond. To prepare for my future, I have set several short- and long-term goals. One of my short-term goals is to finish in the top five percent of my class in the College of Arts and Sciences.
