Traditional public schools and charter schools are very different in almost every way. Traditional public schools are larger than charter schools, and most students come from low-income families. One major difference is that charter schools follow their own curriculum. On the other hand, public schools teach students specific material assigned by the government. In other words, charter schools have more freedom to do what they want. I learned that traditional public schools must meet certain requirements in order to be chartered. On the other hand, charter schools receive additional funding from other places. After doing this research, it is clearer to see the differences between the two schools.
