We all have many different paths we want to take after high school. We can all choose what we want to do with our lives. Some choose to start working, go to college, or even travel. For me, I chose to go to college. At first I wouldn't even consider going to college. Overtime I was encouraged by my parents and college students. That's when I knew this was something I wanted to do. Even though many people think that university is a waste of money, university can help you find a good job, secure your future, be open to new opportunities and you can even meet your old friends. Many people don't want to go to university because it's expensive. They think it's just a waste of money. They don't realize that it's more like an investment. A college education costs less than the average new car. A family friend bought a new car and is struggling to pay the bill. With that money he could go to college and in a few years get an even better car. You might spend all that money on school, but when you finish and get a job, you'll get it all back and then some. Even if you don't have the fund, there is always financial aid and scholarships that can help you. College gives you the opportunity to find a great job and pursue a career you love. Those with a college degree earn 74% more than those with only a high school diploma. The annual income of a college graduate is nearly double that of a person with only a high school diploma. My dad always encourages me and says that going to college will help me get a stable job and I won't have problems with money and bills. People who don't go to college often don't know where life is going or what to do with it? My sister snow... middle of paper... encourages me to keep going. Most people I know try to discourage me. So I would love to meet amazing people like them that I will be friends with for a long time. I would hate to miss this opportunity. After high school, it's the time when we have to choose where to go with our lives. We can get a job, go to college, take a break, travel and so much more. For most of high school I kept saying I didn't want to go to college. I tried to find every excuse I could to justify why I shouldn't go. After much discussion, I realized it was good for me and decided to go to college. People might have negative opinions about university, but it can help me find a great job, understand my future, it can help me be more open-minded and help me meet great friends. College doesn't guarantee you a job or success, but it can help you have a great life.
