Since David Packard and Bill Hewlett founded Hewlett-Packard in 1939, the technology sector has grown rapidly and shows no signs of slowing down in the immediate future. The technology sector is constantly growing and offers innovative and useful ways to accomplish various tasks. New technology is very useful, however, these machines are only useful if used for the right reasons. For example, a company called NGI (Next Generation Identification) has a system where they use scanners and a cutting-edge biometric identification system, to identify anyone's identity in seconds. While this may seem helpful, many people may argue that it is an invasion of privacy. Technology is used to help cure diseases, accomplish tasks in fractions of time, and open doors to opportunities never thought possible, although technology is only an asset to society if used correctly. Everyone imagined the future as talking robots (Siri), computerized pocket dictionaries (smartphones), hovering devices (drones) and much more. Today everyone thinks of these technologies as commonalities. Most of these current devices have a valuable impact, while a few create questionable problems. The NGI company has a system that will revolutionize the field of biometric facial recognition. In the article titled Embracing Big Brother: How Facial Recognition Could Help Fight Crime, author Jim Stenman states, “The mission is to reduce terrorist and criminal activity by improving and expanding biometric identification and criminal history information… ... half of the paper ... we can use high-speed conveyor belts to shoot newspapers at lightning speed These recently introduced processes have changed the need for jobs and will continue to create ease in many occupations Renaissance, After the Reformation, the Enlightenment and the Industrial Revolution, technology changed the world, adapting it to the techno-savvy world of modern times, while technology can cause slight problems, as in the example on identifying the Next Generation, the possibilities of technology The everyday objects of modern society were simply fiction several decades ago While technology is used to complete tasks in fractions of time, cure epidemics and open doors to possibilities never imagined possible, this technology is only a reality. resource beneficial to society if used with true intentions.
