Imagine a little girl watching a documentary on TV about an African tribe for whom water was sacred because it was very scarce. That girl was me, I was 8 years old and it was the first time I understood that natural resources are limited and that we do not have the same accessibility and accessibility to water and food. After a long time I began to be interested in environmental and food issues and I became a Greenpeace volunteer against genetically modified organisms. Then, I read a story about the expectations of agriculture by 2050 and realized that the planet needed solutions based on scientific knowledge such as biotechnology. This and other experiences motivated my life plan and motivated me to apply for the Master of Science Agris Mundus. During my youth I went to several religious missions in the rural and indigenous regions of my country. In Guerrero the coffee producers spent a lot of time harvesting a lot of coffee beans and then selling it at a very low price; the price was equivalent to two and a half liters of milk. What could they do with that money if they were a family of five? I also remember the two community shops in a very poor village in Oaxaca: they only offered sugary drinks, sweet bread, milk, sweets and chips, but no fruit or vegetables. How could they improve their nutritional status? I also remember a woman who lived alone with her three children because her husband had gone to work in the USA; they ate only beans and tortillas and sometimes eggs from his two chickens. Furthermore, I remember a family that received milk and vitamins for children from the state, but they gave it to animals. All these experiences made me question how I could effectively help people? At that point I was already studying nutr...... half of the paper ......verifiable results, a necessary characteristic for doing research. Curiosity and creativity are two key elements of my personality and keep me motivated in seeking the latest information and creating solutions to food and nutrition problems. I think I'm good at working in a team, I always try to listen to others and be resilient to different opinions and suggestions. Additionally, I can work with people of different ages, genders, education levels, and socioeconomic statuses; this made me a foolish field worker. I am a very analytical and flexible thinking person, and this has helped me a lot in suggesting creative solutions to my patients. All this made the little girl a perfect candidate for the Master of Science Agris Mundus, because, she, I have a My experience has supported motivation and the Msc will be a very important step to achieve my goals and to help people.
