IVF, for some, is a great example of this statement. By giving some people the freedom to choose to have children, the creators of IVF have also created many negative effects. As a global society, the only way to remove the negative effects of scientific discoveries is to learn together how to address these problems. While it is arguable that people have an instinctive need to have children of their own, it seems that largely the trend is driven by society.
