Registered nursing is among the top 10 occupations with the highest job growth'' according to the Bureau of Statistics, but why? Registered nursing is worldwide. In every hospital you will find many professional nurses because it is a good career to get into. One sector of work that will never run out of jobs is healthcare because everyone in the world needs healthcare. Students should look into healthcare careers if they desire a successful life and career. Registered nurses need dedication, although it does not take much time to complete this career, its results have its benefits. Although there are many responsibilities that nurses have to perform, most nurses, whether women or men, do their jobs well because they have human beings to treat and care for. Most registered nurses have multiple things to do every day. Some of their main tasks are to record patients' medical history and symptoms. For example, if you are in a hospital, registered nurses in the emergency room are the ones who collect information about recent hospitals you have been to or family history of certain diseases or allergies to any medications. According to the Bureau of Statistics, professional nurses have all of these tasks that they perform every day in their jobs: “Make plans for patient care or contribute to existing plans; Observe patients and record observations; Consult doctors and other healthcare professionals; Operate and monitor medical equipment; Help perform diagnostic tests and analyze results; Teach patients and their families how to manage illnesses or injuries; Explain what to do at home after treatment. Wow, professional nurses have a handful of things to do... middle of the paper... I started this research for the first time I was a little nervous because I was torn between two paths that involved specializing in humanities and the nursing major. I was more knowledgeable about humanities than about a nursing career, so I decided to learn more and it was a great way to gain more knowledge to be able to choose the right path. The nursing career caught my attention and interest the most. While I understand that I wanted to move forward with achieving this goal, there are a few things that I need to take care of so that I can become a registered nurse. To achieve this I will go to registered nursing seminars to find out everything or anything that I missed during my research. Something crucial to achieving this is the academic goal which is to maintain good grades in my science classes and in all classes I will take from now on.
