Topic > Introducing Talent and Ability - 1001

Introducing Talent and Ability Talent and ability are often mistaken and confused in perceptions and conversations. Both refer to a person's ability to work and perform a specific task, although the difference between the two lies where the ability originates. Many believe that people are born with a certain talent and that only these select individuals will be successful. This, however, is not necessarily true, as the concept of talent should be open to different interpretations by individuals. No one is born a scientist, dancer, or teacher, but as individuals we can develop certain skills to fit into different categories. Although talent is an undoubted advantage for the success of those who possess it, it is not essential to be considered flourishing in certain contexts. Skills require determination and commitment, and being available to everyone can be the winning key to achieving favorable outcomes in life. What is talent? What is skill? What is talent? “Talent is a natural aptitude or ability” (World English Dictionary). Everyone has their own unique talent hidden within them, some people may be lucky enough to discover what their talent is along the way, while others may not. In my opinion, everyone has a specific talent, but the majority of individuals do not know or have not found their talents, or at least have difficulty describing them. Maybe it's because talents are reflexive, meaning they are unpredictable, they are like the air we breathe that leads us to take them for granted. People always say, "Oh, you were born to be a basketball player!" but an individual is not born with a basketball in his hands, no one is ever born ready to complete a specific task despite talent......middle of paper......onIn conclusion I believe that talent raw is an advantage that a person contains in his genetic heritage, on the other hand skill is something that is developed with hours and hours of work. In my opinion it's not right to tell someone that they don't have talent or that they can't do it. I think the only unrealistic goals for an individual are those that the individual believes and makes unrealistic. The law of attraction states: “By focusing on positive or negative thoughts, you can achieve positive or negative results. People and their thoughts are both made of pure energy, and like energy attracts like energy” (Law of Attraction). Ultimately talent is not critical to success, so if an individual's mindset is destined to be successful then they will be successful, however to achieve success requires continuous skill development and hard work.
