The "big" young woman was the first to catch Sammy's attention. When he noticed the “big” young woman, he ended up scanning the older woman's crackers twice. After he calmed down the "cash register keeper" (as Sammy called her) and finished going through his groceries, he was able to get a better look at the other women. Sammy follows the women down several hallways. Sammy looks at all the women, explaining their swimsuits and reflecting on their personalities. Then he notices the leader of the group he calls "Queenie", he begins to lust after Queenie. He talks about Queenie's body type and the personality he thinks she has from her behavior. As Sammy reflects on what he thinks of Queenie, he lets the reader know that he has low self-esteem because he feels like she is out of his league. He refers to the prettier girl as "Queenie" because of her demeanor
