Students are bullied, bring weapons and drugs to school, and fight every day for numerous reasons. Uniforms would decrease bullying and make every student feel equal and not because they can't afford the name brand items other students wear. All students should be required to wear the same uniform, which would make every student feel more comfortable attending school. Uniforms could be a plain polo shirt with khaki pants or blue jeans. Having a dress code would prevent group activities from taking place within the school and increase the safety of students in our community. Peer pressure causes many students to react in ways they shouldn't. For example, students wear clothing with multiple pockets and could easily carry weapons or items not allowed in school.
