The horror movie Jaws directed by Steven Spielberg is an award-winning movie released in 1975. The movie revolves around a killer shark that tormented the beach of Amity Island summer vacation. This situation causes havoc throughout the city and among tourists trying to enjoy their summer beach holidays. Throughout the film Spielberg uses different techniques to add more suspense and stress to the audience. In such a way that it does so using two aspects that struck me the most, namely the use of music and camera angles. Say no to plagiarism. This first attack had little involvement with the main characters. This specific situation was used only for the purpose of scaring the audience and increasing tension. The girl's body was found torn to pieces, which added overall shock value to the audience. The result of this specific incident is chaos throughout the city. This situation generally scares the sheriff into wanting to close the beach. Unfortunately for Brody the mayor doesn't like the idea at all because he doesn't want to lose the money that comes from tourists. Marine biologist Matt Hopper and Captain Quint offer to help Brody pursue his goal of catching the killer shark. This results in a war of sorts between the trio and the shark. Throughout the film the shark continues to attack without being caught. Therefore, the second attack happened to the little boy Alex who was enjoying a day at the beach with his mother. Alex went out into the water alone with his yellow float and just a few minutes later the shark attacked, turning the water red and causing bystanders to act frantically. This wall light was made to scare the public and create the connection that the shark will attack whenever it wants and in public it will wither near or far from the shore. This situation causes the trio composed of the sheriff, Brody and Hopper to start their investigations. As a result, they end up catching and killing a tiger shark which they thought was the cause of the two deaths. Unfortunately, the cause of these deaths is said to be much greater, they didn't know it yet until the mayor announced that the shark emergency was over and the beaches were reopened for the 4th of July. However, a third attack occurs on July 4th involving Brody's son. Coincidentally that day the trio were on full alert to watch out for the shark. Brody's son received a new boat for his birthday and decided to try it out. Brody had told him to go to the pond where he would be safe. While Brody is looking for sharks, a woman shouts that there is a shark in the pond, so Brody runs to the pond and finds the shark attacking a man next to his son. After severing the man's arm, the shark begins targeting the body's son but ends up missing him and returns to the sea. The purpose of this scene was to make the attack more personal for the main characters and to make the audience feel sympathy for Brody because he was the one who tried to prevent this situation from occurring between his son. This also increased Brody's motivation to want to catch and kill the shark. The last scene of the film takes place with the trio at sea ready to capture and kill the animal that has been terrorizing their city. This scene is meant to scare the audience for what might happen next. The constant sound effects and the sinking of the boat add.
