In 1907, Cubism is a new artistic movement created by Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque who challenged traditional art by rejecting the single point of view in their painting. The result obtained was based on Picasso's first phase, which he called Analytical Cubism and then developed the second phase: Synthetic Cubism. From the studies of Picasso and Braque many different forms of Cubism were created and became something that changed the art world. This artistic movement was formed as a new way of representing the world through the points of view of different artistic movements. According to Portrayals (2007): “Cubism is the most radical, innovative, and influential ism of twentieth-century art. It is the complete denial of the classical conception of beauty." Therefore, this essay will focus on the Cubism of Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque, to explain how they challenged the fundamental principles of Renaissance art: the spatial illusionism of one-point perspective and the classical norm of the human figure. Furthermore, discuss the two phases of Cubism (analytical and synthetic), their styles, and explain their different premises through significant works by Picasso and Braque. Cubism appeared when the artist wanted to find a new way to describe the natural world expressed as new, to help them reflect on things that go beyond the normal appearance of the material. Cubism painting abandoned much of the traditional notion of perspective, space and shapes. Usually, we can only look at things from a single perspective at the time we see them. However, the artist redescribed the objects of his choice from a variety of different angles at the same time. The appearance of the object, therefore, divided into different surfaces, areas and... in the center of the paper... which means very close to abstraction. Some letters have been placed in the image as clues to suggest the meaning of the image. In the second stage, Synthetic Cubism, the composition of the painting includes details piled together, this information is colored with paint or varnish on the canvas, they have multiple colors. Unlike stereoscopic analysis, where objects can be broken down into pieces, you can perform analysis by trying to combine multiple objects together to create new shapes. Picasso and Braque were the most talented artists of the 20th century, they died and left a huge artistic legacy for humanity including sculpture, oil painting, collage paintings and art installations, those that can be found in major museums around the world world. That work proved very intense and creative throughout their lives and had a profound influence on generations of young artists.
