Age and life experiences Product Three types of believers Religious fanfare in America is predominantly Christian. There seems to be a noticeable increase in interest in spirituality. However, there is a big difference in the devotion of the faithful in terms of the frequency of church attendance. How these individuals attend church is influenced by their age and also whether or not they have endured difficult life situations. After attending some religious services, one becomes aware of the various types of participants. There are three types of categories of church goers: church goers who never miss a service, church goers who show up for Sunday morning service, and last but certainly not least, holiday church goers . The first group in these categories are church-goers who never miss a service. Christians missed in service. They consider themselves the foundation of the Christian faith. Their life is centered on following Jesus Christ. Furthermore, it is unacceptable to attend only the typical Sunday morning and evening services. This group is involved in every aspect of the church's functions. For example, on Sunday mornings they arrive at church in time for Sunday school and take part in praise and worship. They are the first to welcome newcomers to the church and handle prayer requests. For them, the mid-week service, which is usually held on Wednesdays, is as important as the Sunday morning service. If there is a revival scheduled for every day of the week, they are there. These individuals consistently give ten percent of their incomes to their churches—a practice known as tithing. Not paying tithing is not an option; tithes take priority over bills and are paid out of any income they receive… at the center of the paper… not at the center of their life. They tend to be single or living with a significant other. The requirement of the sanctity of marriage is not necessary. Sexual orientation could be heterosexual, homosexual or bisexual; it would depend on what fits their lifestyle. They tend to live by a confusing version of the “golden rule,” which means they focus more on being a good person than on God. Although many people identify under the umbrella of Christianity, these same individuals have different opinions about how often they should attend church. Christian church goers can be divided into three classifications: church goers who never miss a service, Sunday morning church goers, and holiday church goers. Individuals often fall into these classifications depending on their age and whether or not they have experienced past difficulties.
