In Denver, Colorado, a couple had absolutely neglected to take care of their children. With feces piled up, trash strewn all over the house, and communication occurring through grunts and gestures, these parents needed a reality check. Not all parents choose to attend parenting courses, in their case they have been assigned. I believe all parents should get one, because not everyone is prepared for children. When one of their children had to go to the doctors for a cut he got on his head, the doctors were surprised to see a bruise on his ear and he smelled of cigarette odor. A policeman and a human services worker were sent to their home and discovered the horrific environment. I am happy that by taking this course I was able to learn more about commissioned journalists and their tasks. Before I never imagined that a doctor could be the only one to see everything that happens and bring others' attention to the problem.
