American citizens should be legally allowed to carry a concealed firearm without a permit. The Second Amendment to the United States Constitution guarantees our right as American citizens to bear arms. However, overly strict concealed carry laws prevent us from doing so. In fact, it is these laws that cause much of the violent crime in America. These laws also prevent citizens from protecting themselves from potential threats. If citizens could carry concealed firearms without a permit there would be fewer crimes and fewer innocent people killed. For example, many states are moving toward less gun control, and the effects not surprisingly have a positive impact on personal safety. As more states legalize concealed carry with permits, statistics show that less gun control is proving more effective in reducing crime rates where gun control laws were intended to go down in the first place. There are numerous reports of ordinary citizens being able to protect themselves from attackers by carrying a concealed firearm. If permits weren't necessary, even more Americans would be able to protect themselves. Facts like these lead to the question of why such strict concealed carry laws were enacted. The weapon was first seen in history in China about thousands of years ago. And since then it has changed shape and shaped human civilization into what it is today. More specifically, firearms have had a major impact on America and have become a very hot topic. In the West, almost everyone carried some type of weapon. It was a necessity to give you a chance of survival.
