Marijuana includes a hemp plant and a psychoactive drug and medicine. The main psychoactive constituent of cannabis includes tetrahydrocannabinol, also known as THC. It includes the main proponent of the euphoria or “high” effect. Includes substance known to be illegal in the United States, excluding some states, for recreational or medical use. THC and marijuana help relieve pain, control nausea and vomiting, and stimulate appetite in people with cancer and AIDS. Marijuana has been antiquated in America for the past 70 years. Despite including many practical, medicinal, and industrial uses, our federal government insists on maintaining the status quo that the cultivation, possession, and use of marijuana are criminal, despite evidence that marijuana legalization maintains a positive influence about America. Marijuana is considered antiquated a harmful plant that can be life-threatening and lasts as nothing more than another problem facing today's society. However, based on its economic value and medical benefits, the positive aspects of cannabis outweigh the negative aspects of many other positive aspects. In 1545, the Spanish brought marijuana to the New World. The English introduced it to Jamestown, in 1611, where it became an important cash crop along with tobacco and was grown as a source of fiber. By 1890, cotton replaced marijuana as the major cash crop in the Southern states. In the 1920s, marijuana began to gain traction. It gained popularity due to the prohibition of alcohol. Marijuana clubs began to pop up. They were never closed by the authorities because it was not yet illegal. No one bothered or disturbed the community.
