Life is full of the unpredictable. As humans, some of us believe it is driven by fate or choice. Destiny is defined as an inevitable or predetermined path, yet a life of choices is guided through the risks one is willing to take. A life of choice can be found in many scenarios, not only in reality, but also in stories, legends, and plays. In the play “Romeo and Juliet”, Shakespeare determines the outcome of the defects through the ancient grudge, the threat of Romeo **and Old Capulet. The ancient struggle between Capulet and Montague has a great impact on the outcome of the plot. Hatred has prevented their children from loving who they want. The hatred between families is so great that they do not take the time to understand their children and support them. Some say that parents know what is best for you, but in this case that is proven wrong. This is where the flaws come into play. Capulet and Montague spend too much time on their hateful matters rather than focusing on their son's future. They don't understand that their children are more important than the hatred they feel for the other family. Capulet and Montague's hatred had already created a block between the young lovers, yet Romeo and Juliet still pushed to love each other even though they knew the consequences. From this, Romeo and Juliet sacrificed everything to be together. For example, in the end, Romeo went through all the multiple struggles to die next to Juliet, and Juliet had taken the potion and gone through all the pain just to be with Romeo. Suppose hatred is replaced with brotherhood, it is safe that Romeo and Juliet would not have to overcome any obstacles related to death. Therefore, the ancient struggle between the two families played a great role, as demonstrated by this p...... middle of paper ...... to Friar Laurence who comes up with the sacrificial plan that went wrong and resulted in a brutal END. Suppose that if Capulet had not forced Juliet's marriage or rearranged it on an earlier day, it is certain that Romeo and Juliet would not have died as they did. Finally, Capulet's threat led the young couple to a barbaric death. In conclusion, hatred between families, strong youthful love, and Juliet's forced marriage played a major role that led to the brutal deaths of these star-crossed lovers. Parents' hatred blinded them to pay attention to their children's needs, love kept Romeo and Juliet together at all costs, and the friar's plan to avoid marriage failed, which led to their deaths.
