Through the process of obtaining a Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business, which qualifies an individual to work in the field of business as a management analyst, one will accumulate debt that can be paid off through the annual income. A management analyst works in the business field with the goal of improving a company's efficiency, making it more profitable in areas such as costs and revenues. Management analysts can be self-employed and work on a contract basis or work for a company itself. According to the Occupational Outlook Handbook, “In 2012, approximately 21% of management analysts were self-employed. Autonomous analysts can decide how much, when and where to work. However, self-employed analysts are often under more pressure than those who work wage and salary, because their livelihood depends on their ability to maintain and expand their client base.” Because many analysts are self-employed, they choose to work long hours, typically more than forty hours a week. Being self-employed requires many analysts to bid for jobs against other analysts by submitting a proposal. A company views multiple proposals, and the most effective analyst is usually chosen. A management analyst after receiving a job collects information about the company's inefficiency problem; Gathering this information may involve staff interviews, financial reports and on-site inspections. Once the information is gathered, the management analyst evaluates the information to best advise managers and other company officials on the best actions to take. These actions can range from purchasing new equipment to adopting new training methods to changing company-wide procedures.
