My experience in leadership positions, interaction with various cultures and people, along with my dedication to my academics will allow me to grow as a student and as a person at Montclair State University. This university will fully equip me for the career and life challenges I face in the world and provide me with the skills needed to overcome them. Today's leaders are not only strong academically, but they strive to achieve success in every aspect of their lives. This ambition appeared when I moved to America from Pakistan at a young age, to become an ambitious school and community leader. I have remained proactive in overcoming challenges to become vice president of my youth group, to achieve great recognition, and most importantly, to not lose sight of who I am. To be successful at anything in life requires a tremendous amount of hard work. a necessity. This year I am the Vice President of the Youth Group but before that I was Secretary and for a year also Treasurer. I had to demonstrate that I could handle the responsibility that came with leadership. A leader without accountability is ineffective; fortunately I have learned to become more efficient by constantly comparing myself with the executive committee. My job is to keep track of all aspects of the Youth Group and report to the President. Weekly I monitor the progress of all officers and assign them new tasks. Sometimes it is challenging to juggle such a difficult task because the Youth Group is always at the center of my love for this different world and has provided me with the opportunity to learn from it. After this experience, I worked harder at school, participated in more activities, and even joined the basketball team. I knew I would have to become an outstanding student to get into an outstanding college like Montclair State University. Montclair State University is one of the few universities that will allow me to interact with different people around the world and continue my growth as a person. Through the opportunities offered at Montclair State University, I will be able to apply my previous leadership, communication, and academic experiences to learn new skills to become a leader in this world. It would be a privilege to join a University that could contribute immensely to helping me achieve my goals, not only as a student, but as a diverse human being.
