As Hippocrates rightly said “Life is so short, the trade is so long to learn”. I believe that a good mix of talent and reliability is a crucial and powerful mix for success. Honing my skills with a master's degree after completing my bachelor's degree in physical therapy, I believe would help me develop a cross-functional skill set. By acquiring technical skills in physiotherapy and then honing my skills during the internship, he taught me to be precise and scrupulous towards every task at hand. Having successfully pursued this field for almost 5 years, I believe that if given the chance, these skills would provide me with the necessary knowledge to have the opportunity to pursue higher education at your prestigious university. I am pursuing my graduation in Physiotherapy, from Sancheti Institute College of Physiotherapy, Pune, where I have managed to maintain an average of 70% throughout my four years, helping me achieve a rank among the top 10 students of the college. My internship monogram (project) was titled “Co-relationship between trunk imbalance and functional performance in hemiplegics” with a sample size of 50, and was considered one of the “most outstanding monograms” due to its difficulty and involved research. My path to health sciences began when I was in college and I have always been fascinated by how the human body works. This pushed me to enroll in the university course in physiotherapy and I enjoyed it from day one. Physiotherapy helps in conservative and post-operative rehabilitation of patients, creating ample possibilities and making it an intriguing field to explore. I have never missed an opportunity to get hands-on experience since my first job... halfway through... and the time will also allow me to mentor junior faculty or students. All these will certainly be the stepping stones for my preparation for the doctorate which will be my long-term goal. As many esoteric facts will be disclosed in the field of neuroscience in the near future, I would like to exploit them and discover new therapies. In conclusion, I am extremely motivated and determined to obtain my Master's Degree in Physiotherapy from your institution. Through it, I hope to gain qualifications relevant to my career progression and play my part in contributing to the discipline. As John Green quoted in his book “The Fault in Our Stars,” “Do the thing you're good at. There aren't many people who are lucky enough to be so good at something." I would be grateful if your esteemed university would give me this chance to excel in my area of interest.
