Topic > When gangs infiltrate our military - 2483

Across the world there are groups known for their deviant behavior. These delinquent groups sometimes become a serious threat due to their actions. In the United States they are called gangs. As they continually endanger the safety of our communities, what can be done when they infiltrate our Armed Forces? Preventing gang members and their affiliates from joining the military must become a top priority. And more importantly, they must be eliminated from the army. Gangs are generally believed to be found in urban areas. Lately there has been an influx of gang culture spreading into suburban areas. One reason that can be seen for this is the media. Violent lifestyles are enhanced by the TV and music we listen to. Because of the image of “toughness” many people want to emulate what they are exposed to. In lower class areas this is not only prevalent; it is everyday life for many individuals. They learn from an early age that he could always make things right. This is seen in actions committed against others. Violence is the form of action that is almost always taken against others for various reasons. The reason leads to shootings, beatings, armed robberies, etc. Drug trafficking is also profitable for gang members. The distribution of narcotics is the main source of money. Illegal substances are cheap to produce. But they result in high profit margins. Given the demand for their products, gang members can be financially secure. But their large amount of money can be dangerous as other gangs may want to take over the area where the products are distributed. This is known to lead to bloodshed and the death of innocent people who were in the wrong place at that location. at the worst possible time. As mentioned…middle of the paper…in the communities where they are placed. The military should start following suit. Yes, solving gang problems is not that easy. But over time the obstacles that stand in the way could be overcome. Perhaps there simply needs to be more incentives to solve the problem, since the things that are currently happening do not seem to force the hand of the government or the military. As a result, the lives of innocent people may be unjustly endangered. Like many problems, fixing the bands is simple. But with the commitment of those in authority, this problem can be solved. And even gangs belonging to military branches can be eliminated from the ranks, so that they no longer represent a problem for the government; but they must also have a way to be rehabilitated so that they do not pose a danger to the citizens of the country. When this is accomplished, the future may not seem bleak and dim.
