Tanzania has made great progress in reforming its major roads, improving the quality of the road network. The energy sector is the most threatening problematic infrastructure in Tanzania. Despite improvements in pricing and operational performance, inefficiency still eats up around 1.4% of GDP. Due to the heavy dependence on hydroelectric power, which accounts for two-thirds of the country's energy supply. It has climate variability and has low water levels.
