Topic > Transition from High School to College Writing

I had previously learned and used the writing process and found it very helpful, especially this semester in EN101. It helped me because I tend to ramble in my writing when I'm passionate about a topic; Additionally, the writing process helps me organize my thoughts and formulate my essay before I actually write it. Another tip learned in EN101 is to always make changes and revisions. Something I've learned about myself as a writer is that when I have a lot to say about a topic, I tend to exaggerate to the point that my essay makes no sense. To solve this problem, I always have to reread what my essay says and make sure the reader understands it. The revision process improved my writing because the first time I edited and revised my essay in this class, I found many errors that would have been counted if I hadn't caught them. Now I'm able to check for mistakes I know I'm making and correct them as I write, so there will be fewer errors to correct when I revise and edit. These strategies help me improve my documents because as I write I don't always see the mistakes I'm making. Making changes and revisions helps me see these mistakes and I will use these strategies in college because it is a tactic that doesn't take much time, but lasts a long time
