Literature Review: 2.1 Introduction: In this literature review, we will discuss the body of knowledge available for motivational theories and analyze them in order to ascertain their relevance to our current study. In this case we tried to give an overall picture of the research already carried out in this sense and to identify any gaps in order to suggest the path for future studies in this area. We will review existing research on what managers can do to motivate their employees and the factors of motivation. The literature review of this research provided an overview of the available literature on related topics. The theories not only provide the theoretical background but also the basis for studying new factors related to motivation. Numerous researches and studies have been conducted on the topic of motivational factors in the organization. However, the use of different motivational rewards is not yet known in the service sector. For this reason, the chapter dedicated to the literature review first provides an overview of the most widespread motivational theories used by organizations. The theories were seen from a service organization perspective. The main theories studied for this purpose have mainly been from Maslow, McClelland, Winter, Vroom and Herzberg, but the focus has been on those dealing with extrinsic and intrinsic motivation factors. It is also important to understand the relationship between employee motivation and performance. The available literature on the topic was then used to find that employees contribute significantly to the company's performance and success. The practices generally prevalent in the market also impact the employee's perception of their...... middle of paper......ction is what a person tries to do,Effort is how difficult a a person is trying, Persistence is how long a person continues to try. Furthermore, “motivation could be seen not as a matter of acquiring satisfaction, material or otherwise, but as a search for identity, for a positive evaluation of others” (Jackson and Carter 2000). Here the others are the people who have a "symbolic importance" for them. They could be parents, managers and bosses in their respective roles. Motivation can be a complex topic, it is a very personal thing influenced by many variables. These factors can make it difficult for management to understand the driving forces, needs and expectations of individuals that motivate them. Individuals have a variety of changing and often conflicting needs and expectations that they seek to satisfy in various ways.
