Topic > University laziness or stupidity? Internet vs...

What makes the Internet so attractive? Whether it exists to have all the answers to every problem or the Internet provides its users with a virtual reality to be whoever they choose, the Internet can be viewed as something that has advanced the human race into a new era while others see the Internet as a infernal device that has ruined society. Despite the useful features of the Internet, its use among average college students has corrupted the idea that the Internet is a place to gain intellectual knowledge and turned them into lazy, good-for-nothings, and idiots. The standards that most college students live by (in terms of daily Internet use) are not enough to get them through four or more years of college. This can be stated with the utmost precision because to be successful at the highest levels of university you must learn to use the library as a resource. The Internet is one of the most used devices on which literally every college student depends. From streaming video to browsing the web, it can be a breeze to simply type a few words into the search bar and hit enter, eliminating hours of mindless work that (let's face it) no one likes to do. What should be required is that many teachers across the nation implement a policy that limits students from using the Internet as a primary source. The fact that many students are willing to reduce hours of work that can help them in the future is something that needs to change, and the only way that will happen is if teachers require students to use the library to search for and use books as a resource primary. source when searching for project informationOne of the many reasons why I don't like using the Internet is that it plays an important part in the life of...... middle of paper......
