The Odyssey, an epic, was written by Homer, a famous Greek epic poet. The prequel to this book is The Iliad and begins with the end of the siege of Troy and the disappearance of Odysseus. The Odyssey is set in a time ten years after the fall of Troy in the kingdom of Ithaca, a dark period in which the missing hero Odysseus is still nowhere to be seen. Told from the perspective of his beloved son, the plot outlines Odysseus' quest. Telemachus, the son, finds himself facing numerous difficulties and mischievous plots during his adventure. Starting with her mother's suitors, Penelope; and acquaintance with Athena, Telemachus is drawn through divine dominion, divine kindness, and the deception of the devil's pride. Unlike a long poem, the epic takes the form of a narrative, when examined through plot structure, with a typical beginning, middle, and end along with rising action, a climax, and a conclusion. Nowadays, there are various forms of "epic" works such as epic theater, films, music, plays, television programs, and video games; unlike the "epic" of Homer's time (8th century BC) where the poem can only be classified as an "epic", the influences and sympathies of humanity have made the world of literature prosper. This took a lot of effort, but was worth it in the end as the story gave me new perspectives on writing, books, literature, and the many adventures that could come from life. Lastly, I have question asking as a metacognitive skill. . This skill is defined as asking questions. Simple. Actually not really, if you ask deeper and more thoughtful questions, predictions and observations; asking questions suddenly becomes extremely difficult. Throughout the text I wondered about Ulysses' survival, through his numerous difficulties and adventures. I also questioned the mental well-being of Odysseus' wife, Penelope, and also the safety of Telemachus and his crew. In the end everything went well and the trip ended without major damage.
