Recently, community service is increasingly crucial in every teenager's life. Whether it's receiving admission to their dream college or winning awards, sometimes community service gets overlooked for its true purpose and meaning. When I first entered high school, I entered with the idea that I needed to do community service to get into a good college, but now, as a high school senior, my opinion has changed dramatically. At a certain point in life, one begins to understand that individuals have a more important role than expected. For me, this point came while volunteering at Alexis I. DuPont Children's Hospital. My experience in the hospital transformed me from a blind teenager to one who takes pride in helping her community. While volunteering at AI Children's Hospital, I came to the conclusion that every action has a great impact. Children who are in the hospital due to their terminal illnesses or other illnesses have opened my once blind eyes. The credit for this inauguration goes to a young girl.
