Think Earth First and Speak Out“The choice is yours, stop the fall!”BASIC INFORMATION• Event Name: Think Earth First and Speak Out• Slogan: “The choice is yours, stop the fall!” • Purpose/Objective: Inform students about changes in the environment and teach them methods on how they can make a difference and leadership roles they can take on to help • Theme: Go Green and Help The Environment • What: A one-day event full day dedicated to environmental issues and the leadership roles that will help with those issues.• Where: Cameron Heights Colligate Institute in the cafeteria• When: June 5, 2014, during Environment Week and World Environment Day• Why: Inform students about environmental issues and the leadership roles that will help solve these problems • Who: Students. The intended audience are students who have a passion for or are interested in the environment and students who are curious and want to expand their knowledge related to this topic. (Roots and Shoots students, recycling clubs, science classes and more) • Advertising method: Posters, include information about this in the charity blurb, let SAC know, TV lobby ads, morning ads, posts on event on Twitter, Facebook, school webpage, posters in lockers, emails sent to all teachers about the event emailing all teachers, Slip Science teachers to encourage their students to come at this event, let Roots and Filming know about the event • Date the ad will run Start: • Total event cost: $336.40 • Total money earned: $304-$344 • Cost to attend the event event: $2 • Volunteers to help at the event: couple of SAC representatives, 2 teachers or staff, Roots and Shoots if they want help with the plan... half of the card... if they are purchased, the cost of the t-shirt will be $101.40, including tax. The total cost of the event is 336.40. Money will also be earned from this event. Admission for this event will be $2. If 80-100 people attend the event, you will earn $160-$200. Additionally, t-shirts will be sold throughout the day (before the event, during lunch, and after 'event). If at least twelve shirts are bought and sold, each shirt will sell for $12. Each shirt will earn $3.55. More t-shirts will be purchased depending on the number of people who indicate in their application that they are interested in purchasing a t-shirt. Then $144 will be earned. The total amount of money earned is $304-$344. The amount earned may increase based on the quantity of t-shirts purchased and sold.
