. Cyberspace is a realm of communication. Cyberspace is like it has its own way of speaking. People are also part of this cyberspace. I say this because humans no longer speak in person. Do humans do this intentionally to the community or was it unintentional and we were simply consumed without knowing it? Intentional is something done with a purpose or relevant to it. Unintentional is something done by accident or for no reason. A community is built by people with a purpose, or it can be built by accident because people decided it would be a good idea. The purpose of this essay is to explain the difference between an unintentional community and an intentional one and how the author feels about these two different types of community. Unintentional communities are spontaneous communities because they are built without purpose or reason. Nomads are an involuntary community because they move and never settle. In the essay it was said that they suffered from diaspora. The article made it seem like this type of community was a disease that was never cured. In the story, a man talks about growing up in an unintentional community. The name of this community was called Pinedale in Wyoming. He says, “I have struggled for generations to maintain my ranch for almost a generation. I was motivated by the belief that such places were the spiritual home of humanity. However, I knew their future was not promising.” I think he wanted the farm to be a place where people could come and just enjoy nature instead of being dominated by technology. The community was a suburban area and had farms, but it also had technology. He considered this type of influence toxic to the soul. The community that evolved into technology was unintentional because this was... middle of paper......ny nature in person because of technology and just images. It also talks about how human beings should accept cyberspace or not. He also refers to WELLS as a drug or some object to distract his sadness. The overall view of this essay is whether cyberspace should be accepted or not. It's like another form of community, except in virtual form. This type of community could be intentional and unintentional because people can accidentally become attached or change because that's what they see around them. The author of the essay stated that his community was built unexpectedly. Change will happen anyway, and the author proves it. At first it didn't look like cyberspace, then he found this site and enjoyed it. Cyberspace is a community that people like. ReferencesJerry Barlow “There's a There in Cyberspace,” April 1, 2014
