Road accidents are the main reason for the increase in deaths. This project talks about incidents in Oman. In the first part I will talk about the definition of a road accident and the causes of accidents. This causes a negative impact. Then I will talk about the effects of road accidents. Next, I will write about different ways to reduce accidents. Then I will write about road accidents in Oman. Finally, the project concludes with some conclusions and suggestions. As Wikipedia (2014) states that “a road accident is any event that happens unexpectedly. Furthermore, it is defined as an accident that causes injury to the driver and other people, or that causes damage to other cars. maintenance, weather conditions and driver behavior. As we know, road accident is an unexpected event. however, driver behavior is usually the root cause of car accidents. 1-Equipment Failure: Most types of equipment failure are brake loss, tire explosion. 2-Road design: Some drivers complain about roadway design for accidents. For example, poor roadway position or traffic flow is in one direction.3-Driver behavior: Some errors occur when a driver becomes distracted, whether by calling a cell phone, sending text messages or of a cup of coffee.4- Road maintenance: Road maintenance contributes to accidents such as: debris on the roadway and faded road signs can cause accidents.5- Speed: when the driver accelerates the car, an accident can occur.6- Weather: rain can create accidents because the rain makes the road silky and dangerous. Furthermore, fog is considered one of the causes of road accidents. This is because... middle of paper... the police placed several cameras near the roads to take a photo of the car speeding by at high speed. Furthermore, the police put up some traffic lights to organize the streets. For this reason, the number of road accidents is increasing in Oman and many people have lost their lives. In conclusion, our world will be better if road accidents decrease. Road accidents happen every day and at any time these days. Road accidents leave families with great pain. As we know, people don't want road accidents to happen. We cannot solve the problem of road accidents with fines and the police alone. This is because some drivers only slow down the speed of the car in front of the camera. Subsequently, they return the speeding again. So I advise all drivers to be honest when driving cars. Furthermore, they should try to prevent road accidents together to save our lives.
