What is the difference between Juvenile Diversion and Probation? Juvenile diversion involves processing a minor without going to court. The community committee is referred to as the youth court, otherwise if there is legal insufficiency they will fire him. The deviation can have a number of essential and imperative designs. It can benefit low-responsibility youth who are less likely to make poor decisions and avoid the stress that can result from being delinquent in the determination process. Diversion has provided great benefits to public workers and victims to play an effective role in managing low-responsibility juvenile offenders. The development of diversion may deflate the responsibility of the courts, which on the other hand would be impractical for them to arbitrate every single offender to whom it is recommended. The deviation is also economical, it would quickly counteract the opposite actions. Diversion also helps the process reduce probation cases; furthermore, it offers the right skills for precious but unlimited staff time to more serious offenders. Probation is usually reserved for offenders who need to be rehabilitated through close supervision but who do not need to be incarcerated. Probation includes optional judge-sentence agreements that would also allow halfway house arrangements and other programs such as conversion programs. Although, diversion programs divert imprisonment and sentencing, probation punishes if someone were to be convicted of a crime and could possibly be imprisoned if the offender were to violate the terms of the probation process (State of Alaska, 2012 ).
