Lily slowly opened her eyes and recognized those all too familiar signals in her head. Pain began to flood her body, but she giggled nonetheless. “I've had worse,” she whispered to herself and slowly opened her eyes. Obviously Rick didn't kill her, but he remembered that they ransacked the apartment. Letting his eyes adjust, he noticed that it was still night. He figured it must be the same night, unless this time he didn't lay her down really well, and it's been days. He noticed that he was still in the apartment. “Thank God,” she said, grateful that she didn't wake up in a hospital or, worse, chained in a basement. Then he noticed that the apartment didn't seem disturbed at all. “What the hell,” he said, getting up from the couch to fast and having to regain his balance. He stood there, wavering for a moment, letting his body recover. Lily looked around the apartment delicately. Nothing was disturbed. The coffee table was right where it should have been along with his magazines. Martin's bowl full of keys and other junk collected over time appeared untouched. The tablet was nowhere to be found, but she didn't see any trace of it either. Walking around Lily looked for a piece of the screen or a black casing but couldn't find anything. Lily ran to the back of the kitchen near the hallway where she had hurt him. There was no trace of blood. He returned to the sofa and moved the coffee table. He knew he had bled, but he was perfectly clean. If he hadn't felt the bruises and cuts on himself, he would have sworn he had dreamed it all. “I cleaned up,” Nathan said calmly from behind her hoping not to startle her. Turning around she saw Nathan holding a bag that looked as if it had clothes in it. Glancin......the center of the paper......n brought his fingers to the tips of his claws. Taking the other he let his fingertips lightly touch the tips of his fangs. Looking into his eyes, she was almost mesmerized by the way they didn't twinkle, but glowed. "What are you?" he asked, no longer afraid. “Just me.” Closing her eyes Lily let Nathan kiss her softly. She could feel the pressure and the outline of his fangs, then thought about how warm it felt. Then, he started laughing at how perverted it sounded. Nathan pulled back and smiled. “What's so funny?” “Nothing,” he said, letting his laughter subside into a smile. Lily leaned into his ear. “My boyfriend is a monster,” she whispered. Nathan leaned on his. "My girlfriend is an idiot." She quickly threw her arms around his neck and kissed him. Lily had a thousand questions, but for now she just wanted to kiss him, hug him and be with him... and he wanted the same thing..
