Traffic Flow ModelIntroductionAfter studying the traffic flow model in CEE 310, it interested me. As a result, I look for more information on traffic congestion factors and traffic flow simulation model. Traffic flow could be studied by observing traffic phenomena in real traffic situations and understanding traffic phenomena based on the traffic flow system. It is the study of the interaction between drivers, vehicles and infrastructure. Understanding traffic flow patterns can aim to develop a better road network with minimal traffic congestion problems and efficient traffic movement. Traffic phenomena are multiple and depend on the interpretations of many vehicles. Furthermore, vehicles do not simply react following the laws of mechanics. It varies depending on the behavior of the individual driver. Traffic flow theory is defined as “the description of traffic behavior through the application of physics and mathematics” (Gerlough and Huber, 1975). Traffic flow theory interprets traffic flow variables such as speed, flow, and concentration. The increased density will make the traffic flow unstable and dangerous and will even cause car accidents. Traffic jam density represents an extreme traffic density where the speed of vehicles is also zero. Traffic Flow Models Traffic flow models are developed to reproduce traffic flow characteristics using various modeling methods. It is normally constrained along a one-dimensional path and could be classified into macroscopic, mesoscopic and microscopic models. All models have their own areas of application. There are no false or correct for each model, but some model approaches fit the application goal well or not (Kuhne, 1993). The microscope... in the center of the paper... Density ratio.”KOHNE R.
