Topic > Illegal Immigrants Are Destroying Our Schools - 1412

A huge crisis looms right in front of this country, but US politicians don't even realize it. Millions of illegal immigrants receive a free education every day that costs the country billions of dollars. California spends most of this money, but Texas isn't far behind. This will not only bankrupt and destroy one of the best education systems in the world, but will also encourage more and more illegal immigrants to bring their children to America. Why would anyone expect the situation to be any different? If a car dealership decided to give away cars for a week to anyone who showed up at their front door, there would be no shortage of people lining up outside the gate. Allowing illegal immigrants to continually take advantage of the American education system continues to cut this country off financially and educationally. If economists learned one thing from the Great Depression, it should be the loss of billions of dollars in a short period of time. time causes colossal problems. Every day in America this is exactly what continues to happen. One day the country will pay for this, but until then America will continue to limp along. The statistics on how much America actually spends could make even Bill Gates take a step back. In an article published in the Atlanta Journal and Constitution, the situation is summed up rather terrifyingly: “The U.S. Census Bureau just released 2008 data showing that the national average total funding per pupil from all income sources was of 12,028 dollars” (Izumi). The article goes on to calculate that “if you multiply $12,028 by the approximately 3.7 million students [almost all of whom live in Texas and California] with illegal immigrant parents, you get a total national funding cost of $44.50… paper medium... who eat illegal immigrants, but for now America continues to show them its future.
