Business conduct simply means how a company conducts itself socially, environmentally and, above all, in a friendly manner. Business conduct is a must to meet business results and is critical to prevent unethical concerns from occurring within the company. In today's competitive and modern business market, it is essential to note that business conduct is a growing concern that has both advantages and disadvantages across all industries. One industry where corporate conduct is considered a concern is mining. Mining is an economically stable sector and the industry consists of various forms such as coal mining. The sector is in high demand and includes needs and desires that require the need for ethical principles. Therefore, business conduct in the mining sector is considered unethical because it violates the principles of dignity, fairness and responsiveness of the Global Business Standards Codex and affects the general rights and status of workers. The Dignity Principle aims to change the way a company behaves ethically to promote its quality of respect in the mining sector. The Dignity Principle addresses how to develop human potential as a means of promoting special care for those who are harmed by these actions. All codes set out in the Dignity Principle contain requirements that ensure that people participating in the mining industry have full rights and are protected from health and safety issues and, importantly, human rights. (Paine 2005). Health and safety is a major factor in how a company behaves. For example, in 2009, 542 cases of accidents during 2000-2009 in Taiwan were due to the lack... of paper records... making it difficult to behave ethically in one of the most challenging industries. behaviors are classic examples that reflect major global issues such as the industrial revolution and the related establishment of large commercial entities in the mining sector. (Crowther & Capaldi 2008). Therefore, CSR frameworks are necessary components to respond to and prevent unethical corporate behavior in the mining sector and, in turn, can positively influence workers' rights, responsibilities and overall status. In conclusion, due to the growing recognition of ethical conduct in the mining industry, corporate conduct in the mining sector is perceived as unethical as it not only violates the principles of dignity, citizenship and responsiveness, but also has a significant impact on rights, responsibilities and general status of workers.
