Essay on Parenting Styles and Its Effects Parents and their parenting style play an important role in the development of their child. In fact, many childhood experts suggest that parenting style can influence a child's social, cognitive, and psychological development that impacts not only the childhood years, but also extends throughout adult life. This is because a child's development occurs through a series of stimuli, interactions and exchanges that surround him.
