Intimacy versus isolation and trust versus mistrust. How do these four elements relate to each other in the scheme of understanding yourself in the context of the church? Intimacy is a close familiarity or friendship; proximity. This is the exact opposite of isolation, Isolation means loneliness and distance. Communication would be difficult for you if you are a member of a church that isolates you from others. It may seem negative and perhaps even presumptuous to some. Once you are a member of a church, you are considered a family separate from the house of God. You should feel like you can talk to your brothers and sisters about everyday situations and especially to your church leaders. Isolation can also be a sign of depression, and when you are in the house of God, once you cross the threshold, you should be touched and freed from whatever was making you stressed or angry. If you don't feel this way, you should feel available to talk to your church counselor and your church's pastor about how you are coping with your situation. You no longer have to stress about the problems of your daily life, such as work, family, relationships. problems, because you know that as long as you pray to God and ask him to provide, he will do just that. Trust is also important in the church, some things you share with your brothers, sisters and church leaders may be personal. In order for you to open up to them you must first trust them not to tell others and simply ask them to pray for you. Even if it's someone trying to confide in you, they also have to earn your trust, so it's important to have a worthy trust. Because people can feel free to express their feelings to you and talk about what they're dealing with, trusting that you won't exploit them. Distrust is being suspicious, that's something you don't want. When you are a member of a church, once someone sees that you are not trustworthy, it can be confusing
