Do you like card games? Have you ever played Pokemon or Yugioh. If you liked Pokémon but wished it was more geared towards an older audience, you'll love what I'll teach you to play. The game you will learn to play is the magic of collecting a collectible card game based in a wizarding world. In this game you take on the character of a wizard, summon creators, cast spells, spells, and read from your library, also known as your deck. the first thing you need is a deck, fortunately ready-made decks can be purchased in stores. once you have a deck you will need somewhere to play, a table is recommended, but you can use the floor. You then take the deck and shuffle it however you like as long as the cards all shuffle together. After the deck is shuffled, you must draw seven cards. Look at the seven cards in your hand: you should have land cards that include swamps, islands, forests, mountains, plains, special lands, creatures, and enchantments. you can play with that hand if you don't mull it over again (shuffle and draw a hand of 7 again). The turn order can be decided by rolling a die: whoever rolls the highest number goes first, or you can use a coin toss. each player starts with twenty hit points or hp. Once you have your hand and turn order on your turn, if you're going to go second, draw a card, if you're going first, the first thing you want to do is put down a land, then you can play a card that costs one land or a mana. Your cards will have symbols in the upper right corner. There will be symbols of a drop of water, a flame, a skull, a sun, a tree. each element has a trait or playstyle associated with it. water, blue or islands are mostly spell-based control decks. fire, red or mountains are based on fast and damaging cards. black or swamps are the basis of the necromanc...... middle of the card......enders can't attack unless they have an ability. deathtouch found mostly in black cards destroys monsters with an attack power. a deathtouch monster with two attacks and one defense will kill a monster with five zero attacks and still hit another defending monster or the player. the first hit only matters when defending it causes your monster to attack first. It is very important to note that both monsters trade blows. if those two attacked a deathtouch defense and were blocked by a five-attack defense, they would both die and the wizard would be safe. the game ends when a player reaches zero HP. Magic the Gathering is a very fun card game but it can also be very complex now that you know the basics, the card shop is a great place to learn more or improve. Most card shops that sell magic cards will host a weekly magic night where you can go and play or learn.
