“There are many ideas or discussions on the Internet regarding immigrants and yet until now there is still no real solution.” This is an opening sentence from the argumentative essay I wrote last semester. A general phrase that can address the topic. Thinking back to the phrase, I realize that there are no attention-getting phrases or slogans. It's totally boring from start to finish. However, I am able to learn a better way to develop my essay. One of them is to include more emotions in my essay which can be called pathos. A successful essay must have three categories: logical, emotional, and credibility, also known as logos, pathos, and ethos. These three categories support each other so that the sage can live. Furthermore, logos seem to be a strong point for me because they are a persuasive and argumentative part of the essay. The logos is known as a bony skeleton that connects the whole essay together.
