It was very difficult to get people to come together at first. The presence of 200 people at the town hall meeting was a success because they had the opportunity to spread the word. When I contacted the school at first they didn't want to talk to me because they felt everything was under control. However, the school board contacted me and told me to come in. I explained how important it is for everyone to come together to support our young people and help guide them. We have therefore reached a compromise. More volunteer jobs will open up for our young people and counseling will be provided to students considering dropping out. Counseling will allow students to open up about their struggles and this can really prevent them from making a big mistake. However, we still have many obstacles that prevent us from being more successful. We have many parents who are not willing to be part of this movement. They need to understand that this is hurting their child. However, thanks to our encouraging community, they are willing to work with students who lack support. This can give these students self-confidence. Another obstacle is that many community members are unwilling to pitch in to help our youth. I believe that once they know how important our youth is, they will participate and connect with ours
