The Head Start Program Preschool is a hotly debated area of a child's educational journey. One of the main goals of preschool is to prepare the child for traditional elementary school. There are several contemporary educational models designed to help children succeed during their school years. The Head Start program was one of those programs. The Head Start program was created by President Johnson to help low-income families whose children were in mainstream education the following school year.
