As a home visitor, most of my clients are just like Tammy's family. Tammy's family history seems to repeat itself, and with no other support, Tammy finds herself misjudged by her family and neighbors. One thing no one can take away from Tammy is her hopes and dreams for a better future. I believe anyone can be discriminated against for almost anything you do. All it takes is one person to decide that, for whatever irrational reason, something is less worth doing than an identical person who would do the exact same thing. Some people discriminate more than others, often even if it is based on their life situations and upbringing or the fear that they might end up the same way. Tammy still sees her life and future as hopeful and positive; although he may sometimes see his life as hopeless. I believe he does his best to provide for his family, even if that means walking ten miles to work. He doesn't seem to have the resources to help her with necessary things she may need, such as furnace or car repairs. As a home visitor, we provide many resources to the community...
