These paths are often linked and intersect, which allows the same person to follow more than one motivation for the same task at the same time. However, this can also work the other way around: happiness, meaning and purpose all have an effect on knowledge as well. They help us confirm or reject knowledge throughout our lives. The perception of having found a purpose or meaning in some acquired knowledge will allow us to decipher whether said knowledge is good, useful, valuable, etc. Furthermore, since knowledge is a never-ending process that continues throughout our lives, we must continue to reevaluate it. and reevaluate it, and then decide whether to continue our exploration of greater knowledge; or start forgetting it and discarding it. However, saying that the primary purpose of knowledge is to produce meaning and purpose in our personal lives is limiting because knowledge goes beyond that. Yes, it allows us to advance towards ever deeper, more certain and more meaningful knowledge. But it also motivates us on a personal and professional level to acquire more knowledge to be successful. It gives us access to belief systems that shape who we are as a society and how we choose to live our personal lives. We are constantly learning, so we receive new knowledge every day. We will choose to discard some of this knowledge, whether it is replaced by new knowledge or simply because we discard it
